The Artist is an extension of the 2010 mixtape release The Architect and the preamble to a future project with similar title “The <pronoun>.” The meaning behind the titles is directly connected to the many things I am and can become. As people, we often possess multiple titles so view these releases as a celebration of who I am.

 

The Artist chronicles a life of pain, self-discovery, and love. The album shifts moods around the middle giving the project balance and a clear story. I was influenced mostly by my own growth vocally and melodically. I have grown over the years and in some ways, these albums are sonic records of my growth. I challenge you to listen to my entire body of work and compare the growth from past to present. I’m sure you find them night and day in comparison.
